Autonomous Patient Care
By following a fee-for-service payment model instead of an insurance-reimbursement model, we are able to provide individual attention to our clients. Our only interest is to help them reach their goals in the most effective way. Our level and type of treatment is not influenced by the amount of reimbursement we would receive from an insurance company, so you decide the appropriate modalities or hands-on techniques with only the patient’s best interest in mind.
We focus on providing individualized care, not a cookie-cutter or textbook approach to treatments. We encourage innovative and “out-of-the box” thinking, putting together evidenced-based treatments that address each individuals specific needs. As such, therapists are encouraged to seek out treatment approaches they find interesting or that bring a new perspective to traditional treatments through continuing education. What works for one client may not work for another. The more tools in your toolbox, the better opportunity to help the client reach their goals.
You will not be diagnosing patients and then handing off a plan of care for someone else to administer. You will continue to work one-on-one with your clients and continually customize their treatment throughout every step of their journey. Evaluations are given 75min, and follow-up visits are placed into 45-60min time slots at the therapist’s discretion. Our clients are required to be active participants in their care. They do not perform exercise repetitions in the clinic that can easily be performed at home. However, proper execution of exercises is important, so time is spent making sure clients are performing exercises correctly to achieve their stated goals.
If you would enjoy having enough time with patients to allow for excellent care, work well independently, love to learn new skills, and have the freedom to explore new treatments, then this position may be a good fit for you.
Flexibility
Once the initial orientation period is complete, you will also have the flexibility to create your own schedule according to your clients’ needs.
Currently, the office hours are from 8am to 7pm, Monday through Friday. Ideally, you would be available to schedule patients during 2-3 mornings per week (beginning at 8am) and 2-3 evenings per week (until 7pm) since these tend to be popular appointment times for our clients.
Also, should you desire, you would have the opportunity to extend our current business hours to other days and times.
Growth and Pioneering
You will have the opportunity to grow with us! Penrose Physical Therapy was founded over 4 years ago with one purpose in mind – to provide patients with the best care possible. We believe the best way to do that is by having a one-on-one relationship with our clients. We know this philosophy is not for everyone, but it continues to resonate with our loyal customers. Consequently, we are growing, and in order to reach more people, we need to add a Physical Therapist who shares this outlook. If you believe like we do, that the best way to “get people better” is to provide individual attention and personal expert care, then we want you to come along with us.
Focus on the Essentials
We do our best to eliminate the unnecessary distractions that sometimes interfere with our core mission, to treat people as people, not as numbers. We focus solely on the administering of treatments to help people recover from injury, and prevent further incidents of pain. We focus on the whole person, not just the injured part, looking for poor movement patterns, habits, and faulty biomechanics that rob a person of pain free living. We believe the insurance reimbursement model is at best, a distraction, and at worst, directly interferes with this ultimate goal. That is why we prefer to simplify the process so we can provide the best possible care for each individual patient, without being influenced by any third party considerations. Payment is received at time of service for the services rendered that day.
Comfortable Environment
Our office is set up with an open concept, relaxed atmosphere, and we strive to make our clients feel they are part of our family. We do not have a dress code or uniform, but ask that your dress appropriately and professionally. Our model allows the therapist to really get to know their clients, their family members, their motivations, and their goals. We maintain the relationships built through our care by having client’s transition to our Wellness program. Here we can maintain the relationship, updating exercise plans, providing occasional minor treatments, and keep our patients moving toward their health and function goals.
